Updates!

4-22-24 - Website construction started!

  • Officially started coding for the site. Today is just the formatting and basics, but tomorrow I will start with custom graphics!
  • Fixed up some mistakes I made yesterday and changed colors. Postponing graphics design for a bit while I figure the format out a bit more.
  • Added Miir (gifypet) and ((hopefully)) fixed the issues I was having with the custom font.
  • Fixed some visual things on the homepage and started working out the code for a subpage or two. Subpages won't be accesible until I figure out how the hell to code the navbar.
  • Got the base for the navbar done! It's still a bit scuffed but functions for the most part for now
  • Made a couple subpages! They're all under construction and don't have all the content on them yet, but are now linked on the navbar
  • scrolling sidebars added
  • Content added to about + attribution pages. added one more subpage but it will remain empty until I can make some graphics for it
  • finally coded blog page + wrote an entry. Finaly figured out how to make the main content on the index page scroll.

Future update plans!

  • Sometime this week I'll start making graphics. This is gonna be posponed for a bit until I actually find the motivation to do it.
  • Music player will be added at some point.
  • Format the rest of the subpages
  • New iframe + theme coming soon! since this whole site was made based on a template, I want to make it a bit more advanced + eye-pleasing now that I know a bit more on html
  • langing page, hopefully something I have by the end of the week
  • improved navbar (i might move it to the side rather than keeping it on the top?? unsure)
  • Welcome to the Aquarium!

    Where are we?

For quite a bit now, I've had an interest in marine biology that I didn't quite know what to do with. There are no notable aquariums near where I live, and I'd be sad when I couldn't go to see all the creatures... Which led me to learning html, in hopes of turning my love for deep-sea creatures into something digital.

This site serves as a passion project for me to share my interest in marine biology while learning about html and coding- and having the bonus of getting to explore the old web. I started it on an impulsive whim one day, and have since been devoting my extra time to making it a safe space for others to spend time when they find themselves bored or in need of inspiration.

My goal with this is to create a place where people can learn more about the various sea creatures and their behaviors, as well as my own little corner of the internet to spend my time in. I hope that those who need a place online to hide away from real-life issues can find a safe space in my site.

    Meet the Aquarium's manager!

Miir is the Aquarium's manager. He is a cat gifypet, and watches over the site when I myself am not here to do so! Miir is the true mastermind behind the Aquarium.

    More on Gifypet

gifypet is a neocities site for commonly used adoptables throughout neocities. Click the link and make your own silly little guy to keep you company!

    Please keep in mind!

Psst! The super pretty font you are seeing throughout this website is not mine! You can find the creator at this website, and even download it yourself! Make sure to show the original creator some love for this adorable font.

The webmaster is currently dealing with a creativity block that will most likely keep them from making any serious site updates for a while. Expect slow updates until I figure out how the fuck to find motivation
